Policies and Shipping info
1) Regarding Sales Taxes:
a) We are required by law to charge 6.25% state sales tax plus 1% additional Metro tax
(totalling 7.25%) to Texas residents since our physical store resides in Harris county and MTA Texas.
We regret this cannot be avoided and must be done so we can continue to stay in business to serve you..
Commentary: In Texas we are fortunate enough to enjoy endless miles of nice roads to ride our bikes on and
no state income tax like other states so it is only fair we all pay our share and I am glad to pay it.
Our firm submits a check to the Texas State Comptroller every month for the sales tax collected to help
pay the light bill at the Governor's mansion!
b) The online shopping engine which we contract from the hosting company automatically charges
sales tax on the total including the shipping which we suspect is incorrect and will be investigating.
This is outside our immediate control to change currently but we will not allow it to persist.
No one should have to pay more tax than is required by law and until we are proved wrong we
will recalulate the totals and reduce your credit card charges by the appropriate amount for the
proper state sales tax.
c) Addresses we ship to outside the state of Texas are not subject to and will not be charged sales tax
2) Regarding Shipping:
a) We ship by what we have found to be the swiftest, most cost effective and efficient method which
in most cases is FEDEX Ground. This will be the customary shipping practice unless the customer
requests otherwise and pays accordingly. We sell our items at an extremely cost competitive prices
and low profit margins and therefore to stay in business we must charge you shipping.
b) We will make every attempt to GET IT RIGHT the FIRST TIME to avoid return shipping hassles
But customer takes responsibility for additional shipping charges on returns and will be billed for
shipping and handling fees regardless if item is returned for refund (only under special circumstances).
We must rely on you to provide proper measurements and take the time to properly consult with
us and we certain what we ship you will match the dimensions and sizes you describe to us. (See more
about sizing below.) We also rely in you to give us proper addresses and shipping instructions and we
cannot afford to pay for customer error and will not do so. All items will be sent signature required unless
specified in writing and no additional insurance beyond standard provided will be provided unless requested
and paid by the buyer.
3) Sizing info
a) this new website and details are still under construction call (281-923-1715) for consultation for now and regardless.
We will return the call if toll charges are an issue. You can email us your phone number if you wish. (USA only).
b) NOTE: Unfortunately, despite our pleas to the contrary, OUR suppliers charge US more for larger sized garments,
incrementally as they exceed sometimes as small as size "Large" or Size 48, and we regretfully must return the favor
and charge our customers' correspondingly for larger size garments.
This is not enjoyed or rellished and therefore we do not mark up the up charge for size,
that is we pass it along directly at same as our cost to make it gentler on what typically tend to be larger
size bikers. The garments typically tend to run smaller than conventional clothes, as well, so please be prepared
to be ordering a size or two larger than you customarily might wear in conventional clothing.
Always better to error on the big side in most cases and additional room should be left for layering and
maneuverability, as long as not excessive to cause wind drag or discomfort.
c) these garments, though of good quality and value, tend to fit and be sized somewhat inconsistently and therefore
it is important, you, the customer, provide us with proper dimensions and consultation se we can get it right!
d) Be prepared to have a tape measure handy and provide or have recorded critical measurments, especially for chaps.
The nature of these garments are such that there are often inconsistencies in sizes and fits and while we will strive to
GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME --we can only do that with your help, accuracy of measure and willingness to
take the time to properly consult with us which we will gladly and freely offer, to make everyones' life easier.
4) Credit cards and your privacy
a) Your credit card information and personal info including name, address and phone numbers ae kept secure, PRIVATE
and are processed by a secure server hosted by register.com, the original web registrar of the World Wide Web.
Your information is NEVER shared or left unattended or accessible to anyone else either ON or off the web. Please
inform us immediately if you suspect your information was compromised for any reason if you have used us and
also alert your credit card company, of course, to take advantage of their now routine protections to your liability in event of
of credit card fraud or identity theft.
5) Material workmanship, quality and blemishes, and disclaimer of liability
a) We choose several quality suppliers with whom we have dealt with for over a decade now and feel bring you the best
value and functionality required for your riding habits and your climate. However, these leather garments are from once
living mammals which are products of nature and therefore will have natural flaws and anomolies, none of which typically
interefere with the function or form of the garments and none so intolerable to tarnish the style or appearance irrepairably.
Few pieces of natural leather are perfect and no returns will be accepted for small flaws in the natural product or
construction of the workmanship on certain items if shipped satisfactorily.
Please understand we have been selling these brands for a decade and have few, if any unhappy customers
who have made themselves beknown to us (with a total sample size of thousands!) or returns... so please don't be unduly alarmed!
We will not ship you defective merchandise and it will be examined carefully before it is wrapped and reaches your doorstep.
b) While we have had a few grateful customers over the years bring back their road rashed and crash dummied leather jackets and chaps
and thanked us profusely for the high level of protection it afforded them as they skidded down the street on their shoulders or backs,
we can make no explicit or implied guarentee of protection nor assume any liability for the lack thereof and any customer doing
business with us must understand this.
We make every attempt to inform customers, when they are listening, which garments will offer an additional level of road rash protection
over others and while some lighter weight, less durable fabrics, that we sell such as goatskin or pigskin garmets are simply provided
upon request or necessity due to the hot, humid nature of the Houston climate which does not always allow riders to wear heavy thick
cowhide or buffalohide garmets.
